QUIRKS

Ali did a funny post today about her quirks, you'll have to read it. But then i got to thinking, do I have any quirks? I don't know if I do. That's so boring. Ali said that two of mine are that I like dough of any kind - cookie, bread, brownie, pancake batter. I didn't think that was a quirk. I just thought that everyone did. Also, I listen to Christmas music the day after Halloween. Doesn't everyone? Tyler said I'm a clean freak. Now that's really boring. I need to be more like Ali and get some good quirks. Help me think of some please.

A day (or two) in the life . . . (part 2)

Brooke's 15th birthday party. This was one of the funniest birthday parties we have ever had. Renting the sumo suits was a riot.

This was probably one of the saddest days of our 21 years of marriage. We had to put our Duke down after months of deliberation on whether or not to do it. He was the best dog.

Picking out pumpkins. (I can't believe how old they are all getting.)

Brooke learning to drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chase found this the other day. It was not planned - I promise. But we got a good laugh out of it. It doesn't take much.

Do you think Ali is missing her missionary?

Chase on his first motorcycle riding day. Needless to say, he loved it. We're saving up.

And finally . . . Halloween. (I know, Brooke, I'm in trouble) Chase was that dummy, Slappy from the Goosebumps books and we aren't sure what Brooke was.

A day (or two) in the life . . .

This is a perfect example of what Rick does to entertain me sometimes.
Warning -- do not try this at home.
So Rick has been working really hard on getting healthy and started making protein shakes for the last month or so. Today he had a very important meeting and needed to be out of the house early. He was all dressed up, looking quite handsome, and ready to leave the house but wanted to hurry and make the shake. In his haste to quickly get it finished, he noticed there was some of the healthy stuff on the top that wasn't getting sucked down so he decided to gingerly take a metal spoon and stir it . . . with the blender going. Needless to say, the blade grabbed the spoon and sucked it down and then proceeded to throw the berry shake all over the kitchen and Rick. Therefore, hot tip of the day. . . do not try and stir your berry shake with a metal spoon while the blender is going.
